It all started when…

In 1973 Nancy got her home bakery license to sell her fresh bagels, bread and noodles. She would hand deliver three days a week, usually with her 2 and 3 year old sons in tow. Later on she became the manager and chef at “The Team Room” located in the Portsmouth Brewery in her home town of Portsmouth, Ohio. Nancy was known for her fresh vegetarian foods such as hummus, salads and a soups to die for! Although she would not have another business for some years, Nancy maintained a reputation for sourcing the best local ingredients so she could to feed her family and friends. Eventually Nancy was asked by a family member if she could bring food to her business office on a regular basis. The fire was lit and a business was started! After the commercial kitchen was built and inspected by the state and county, things were off and running. 25 years later and we are still going strong here at the Country Kitchen. Our services range from a simple food dropped off with all disposable wears, to a full service up scale dining experience. We can send someone to grill out at your house or even provide a private chef for an intimate dinner for two. Remember, if it is not on the menu, just ask. Chances are, Nancy already knows how to make it and will be happy to make it for you. We look forward to hearing from you so we can make your next event something to remember!
